Meet the Maker

From Blue Lights to Bentwood

For many years, I dedicated my life to the emergency services — a career defined by long shifts, high pressure, and putting others first. It was meaningful work, but it came at a cost.

When a family tragedy brought everything to a halt, I found myself stepping back from the job I had known for so long. In the quiet that followed, I struggled. I felt confused, stressed, and unable to switch off — unsure of who I was outside of the role I had always played.

Then I discovered jewellery making.

It started when I realised I could bring together two things I had always loved — wood and jewellery. Bentwood rings felt like the perfect marriage of the two: natural, tactile, and beautiful. What began as a creative outlet became something far more profound.

Working with my hands — shaping wood, setting stones, crafting something beautiful from raw materials — gave me focus, calm, and a sense of purpose I hadn't expected to find.

That journey is at the heart of every ring I make. Each piece is crafted with care, patience, and intention — qualities I learned not in a workshop, but through life itself.
