This ring starts its life as a strip of wood a billet of copper.
The copper is cut and rough shaped into a circle of the correct size and hammered into shape the makers mark is then stamped inside though this isn't typically done at this point its necessary here to not damage the wood and the finish later down the line.
The wood is then affixed and wrapped snuggly around. Sanding, sanding and yet more sanding with ever increasing grits takes place until 2500 git s achieved after which the surface is repeatedly sealed achieving 5-6 layers.
Each of these layers are fine sanded to ensure a good adhesion and platform to the next. After which the polishing process starts 9 grades of micromesh fine sanding occurs twice resulting in the polish. After all this polishing compound is applied to finish the exterior.
The copper core us then similarly polished up through the grits until the desired finish, A final cleaning and then its ready to go its new home.
Please be aware that copper naturally discolours with the oils or sweat on your skin. The colour is harmless and temporary.
